about

Polina Knight is a Ukrainian British artist, currently living and working in the south of England. Her practice explores material memory, identity, and quiet resistance. Beginning as an intuitive search for belonging, her work has evolved into a deep engagement with native clay and somatic history—anchored in the belief that physical matter can speak, remember, and endure when language fails.

Her interactive ceramic sculptures merge raw, intuitive hand-building with hidden text, symbolic motifs, and sound frequencies. Drawing on political art and regional materials, she creates tactile forms that reject clinical perfection and serve as an unyielding document of personal grief and collective memory.

She holds an MA in Ceramics and continues to expand her practice through the intersection of traditional craft, new technology, material agency, and contemporary responses to conflict.
